How to Assemble an RBC7 UPS Replacement Battery

1. Test the new battery before assembling the RBC7 Battery. They should register 12.55v or more. If not, the RBC7 battery is no longer usable.

2. Remove the plastic covers that are on both ends of the UPS Battery. Reattach the battery leads to the Smart UPS battery. Make sure you attach the red wire to the terminal that’s positive, and the black wire to the terminal that’s negative. With the 1400 model, reattach the battery connector.

3. Slide the battery gently into the APC RBC7 Smart UPS battery unit. Replace the battery door, and secure it with the two screws you set aside.

4. Lift the cover down from the top of the APC RBC7 replacement battery and gently slide it back in place.
